Dysbiosis and Probiotic Intolerance…Do you Feel Worse After Probiotics?

In this video, Dr. Justin Marchegiani talks about probiotics and dysbiosis. Probiotics are essentially good bacteria that is found in a person’s gut. Dysbiosis, on the other hand, is a microbial imbalance or maladaptation inside a person’s body or in this case, their gut. What many people don’t know is that probiotics may cause more harm than good if there is a higher level of bad bacteria than good. This is akin to throwing down seeds in a garden full of weeds and expecting something to grow. When there are more bad bacteria in your intestines, consuming probiotics can actually cause bloating and your body might even start releasing more histamine. If you want to learn how to improve the ratio or balance of bacteria in your gut, watch the video above.

I have never heard of this, but I cannot take probiotics because it makes me feel worse. You can bounce a coin off my stomach almost daily because it’s so taunt, bloated and uncomfortable. Stomach pain is defuse and it’s difficult to pinpoint what hurts save appendix or gallbladder. I am miserable everyday and HATE wearing clothes that are constricting. I don’t eat terrible, mostly natural foods. Doctors don’t think I am serious. I have found if I’m not dropped to my knees with pain they don’t believe me or take me seriously. I’m thinner and have muscle tone I was born with, so by outside appearances I look like the healthy poster child. Underneath, I’ve had a bilateral mastectomy with over 13 surgeries due to cancer and non response to standard treatment, severe permanent hip, knee, heel injury, headaches, and severe GI discomfort. I don’t know where to turn. I was 23 when the uterine CA was FINALLY found and discovered a large breast lump at 30, and after MANY, MANY scheduled mammo’s a MD decided to biopsy the lump area at 39 yrs, and it was invasive by then. So, I am extremely frustrated with modern medicine. This is very interesting. If I could get my gut to behave, I would be a new person!

Slow down by 10 percent. Yes you’re smart but you need to actually connect to people to help them and you’re not connecting here.

Glad you mentioned the OAT lab, Mine came back with both D-Lactate and benzoate that was off the charts. My Last ND gave my Nystatin and Probiotics and I’ve just got worse and worse. My stomach is so bloated I look pregnant all the time.

That doctor’s name is Peter Gibson… the very man who proposed Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity now believes it may not exist.

This makes sense. I’m currently taking oregno oil 4 to 5 times a day & Paw D’arco tea daily to kill bad bacteria.

I thought I had a gluten sensitivity, until I heard that some people who have problems with grains (especially wheat) really are reacting to the pesticides used to grow them.

I tried Organic and it was wonderful to have wheat back on the menu.

The same scientist who suggested that some people might be gluten-sensitive heard about people going to Europe and eating the grains there and suddenly having no problem with them. He went back and re-checked his work like a good scientist, and yep…

Wheat gets drenched with glyphosate (Round-Up) to make it dry up and drop early for faster money.

Please look into this more! My health started improving right away when I put glutamine sources back on the menu.
