What are the laws on CBD in the UK in 2020?
Is it legal to buy CBD bud in the UK?
(This is not legal advice)

**I think the government should be supporting CBD users and business by being clearer on what the laws are. An urgent review needs to take place on how they classify low THC flower.**

I did my best to dive in to the available information and documentation to try get a clear picture on whether CBD flower, CBD buds and CBD hemp are legal to buy and sell in the UK.

It seems pretty clear that CBD extracts in oil form etc are fine to buy and sell as long as they contain less than 1mg of THC per container. But there seems to be a large grey area at the moment regarding CBD Flower and teas.

Clear UK – “CBD Flowers, Buds, Weed, Hash Are NOT Legal In The UK”

“The sale of ‘CBD Flowers’ and buds is not clearly legal even if THC is below 0.2% and from EU approved origin. However, buds are often sold as tea or other guises but some authorities seem to see these as a controlled substance and others don’t seem to care.”

I predict that the law will be changing shortly to clear up the grey fog so to speak. I don’t want to say that you should be fine buying and selling CBD bud, but many people are buying and selling these products without issue. My concern is that engaging in the with CBD Bud products does open one to a very small but foggy risk. And if someone wanted to play it extremely safe stick to CBD oils as their legality is clearer at this point.

This is not legal advice – this is just how I currently understand the law. If you think you have additional information or official documentation that corrects me please let me know.

Thank you and have a lovely day.

Hey Matt nice video, I enjoyed it😎. Truth is I don’t care about the law, I’m really interested though on the best methods of consuming it (is it best to smoke the flower? Will it eff up my lungs? Should I just get a pot of it and dunk my finger in every couple of hours? Should I get a vapouring devise?), I’m also interested in where to get it, who’s the most trusted supplier and who has the best/most organically grown stuff? Be lovely if you could do a video around those kinda questions, cheers Matt, peace out ✌️

99% of what you see on the market is illegal. Retailers have done a great job creating their own interpretation of the law and casting that distortion on to their customers. What you see on the market is cannabis with cannabis names such as OG Kush. The only legal strains are certified strains such as Futura 75, Elektra etc. The rest is 100% cannabis as the law see’s it. Just because you take a cannabis strain and breed out the THC doesn’t suddenly make it not cannabis. It’s like if you take tobacco and strip out the nicotine it will still be tobacco leaf.
