I Tried Probiotics For 30 Days | Before/Afters | Worth It?

I’ve done a 30 Day experiment for you guys to give you an honest review and see if I can stop bloating and fix my gut health.

(Note: the main experiment starts at 2:56 – but I do advise watching the whole vlog to get an understanding of why I am taking them and what they do.)

In this week’s video, I have tried and tested Bio Kult Probiotics from the health store to see if they actually help with my gut health and bloating! Since I was away for ages, I needed to fix my gut and knew I wanted to turn to probiotics.

I am using Bio Kult in this video which after some research I found to be the best I could find. (you can find a link to purchase these below).

I hope you enjoy this video and the experiment!

Love, Holly x

I just ordered the thrive prebiotic, the ones promoted by Dr. Steven Gundry to see if will help with weight loss, do you no anything about this brand, a little expensive, but if it helps it will be worth it.

Hey, I’m not sure whether you mentioned how many you take? I’ve bought them and it says two a days with meal . I’m currently doing one at breakfast of lunch and one after dinner. How about you in the video? And are you still taking them?

    Thank you and keep up!

I have tried to take probiotics as a supplementation as well however on day 2-3 I developed massive amounts of gases which has been extremely uncomfortable for me…

  7. Alyssa Caaya on February 27, 2020 at 8:52 pm

I ordered the exact same probiotics and I’m on day 4 ! 🙂 so far feeling good, stomach seems a little less bloated. I’ll update after a week

Another good tip is to lower your vegetable/legume/whole grain intake and eat more meat/animal products, as only plant foods make you bloat.

I take probiotics everyday and absolutely love it! I don’t do well with acidic or fatty foods and probiotics help so much with bloating and digestion for me!

  11. Amy Harris on February 27, 2020 at 8:56 pm

I want to suggest to some people that are commenting saying that they have had more gas.
As someone who has struggled with bloating, gut health issues, auto immune disease and I could go on…
Let me say if you have these issues you might want to have a permeability test.
I had one and found out that everything I was doing was wrong because of my histamine levels.
I’m not suppose to have fermented foods, fungi, the list goes on along with a food sensitivity test I took.
I was taking probiotics, but it actually was putting more of a few strains that I didn’t need.

I strongly suggest if you have issues to have a test.
If you don’t then by all means try this because had I taken a probiotic before my issues, it more than
likely would have helped support me and saved me undue stomach issues.

    Thanks for the videos!

  13. Theda Ways on February 27, 2020 at 8:57 pm

Great video Holly. Also anyone who isn’t used to taking probiotics or a big eater of fermented foods may get tummy rumbles as the gut bacterial start to adjust to the new probiotics coming into the gut. Thanks for everything you put out into the world Holly!

I have IBS, so I avoid dairy mostly.
I will try this, is it much better than say Actamel?
Also would you use these tablet always or just for short term?

  15. Shelly Brown on February 27, 2020 at 8:59 pm

I take acidophilus. It is a probiotic but I stay away from products that are labeled “probiotic” because I feel the word can be misleading. Just like products labeled “low fat.” Be sure to do your research.

  16. Bianca Pop on February 27, 2020 at 8:59 pm

Hey! Is it enough to take the probiotics for 1 month? Or should i take them until i see some results? Thanks!

  17. Justin Willetts on February 27, 2020 at 9:02 pm

My bloating after meals was hell up to a few years ago when I started taking probiotics. I take them every day and most of the time I am fine, asides if I have particularly bad food that would make me much worse without them. You have to find the right the right dose for you, as higher doses can make me ill. Without taking probiotics I will be very ill for a few days as the good bacteria seems almost immediately taken over by the bad. So, for me, without taking probiotics every day I probably wouldn’t be able to enjoy food at all. I certainly didn’t until I started taking them 😌

  19. Ami Etsuko on February 27, 2020 at 9:03 pm

I bought my first probiotics ever about a month ago. I didn’t have high hopes. I was mostly wishing for less bloating and better absorption of nutrients. Not only I’m not bloated but I only eat 3 times a week as opposed to my previous 5, just because I’m not hungry. Also I don’t have cravings anymore. I was crazy about sugar, it was an addiction. I still love sweets if course but there is no irrestistable need anymore. Super satisfied! Good to know what the problem was in my body.

  26. L on February 27, 2020 at 9:09 pm

Thank you for talking about the stomach acid!!!!

ALSO: you need PREBIOTICS to absorb and aid PROBIOTICS

PREBIOTICS are in natural plan fiber!! You need to eat soluble and insoluble (I eat a LOT of ruffage and yes the bloating can suck) fiber or else all the probiotics that make it past your stomach acid won’t live.

Also—a bit of gas is good! It means you are producing butyrate and that helps stop inflammation and prevents leaky gut and endotoxins

Sorry this is random nutritionist blabber kind of super simplified but learning this information really helped me back in the day!

  27. ItsybitsyIsy on February 27, 2020 at 9:09 pm

When (at what time of day) do you take them

  41. Fit-ZonA on February 27, 2020 at 9:31 pm

I know it doesn’t work for me….eating more less bloating food is much better

  42. Denah on February 27, 2020 at 9:32 pm

I think you need to look into your "trigger" foods as well. Sweet potatoes are definitely known to give you gas and bloating which you said you had after eating it.

  43. Sunethra on February 27, 2020 at 9:32 pm

I just take a spoon of regular yogurt for natural source rather than taking a pill. I feel they definitely take time to adjust if you don’t take it regularly. Long term helps though I feel.

I am new to your Channel. But I have been following you on YouTube for about 3 to 4 months. What would you recommend me to take on trying to lose weight I have been overweight my whole entire life I have took just about everything out there on the market but nothing seems to help me. I was thinking about having surgery but I know that is really risky and my husband doesn’t want me to he says I could die from it. So what would you recommend me doing. Please message me and let me know what would you recommend thank you
